From the moment twenty six years ago, I rather nervously sat down on a yoga mat amongst a sea of unknown friendly faces, I was completely hooked; the amazing feeling both physically and mentally that I felt at the end of the session was in fact the start of a journey where yoga has become an integral part of my everyday life and has culminated in the opening of my NEW studio at OLIVE TREE YOGA Dalham.
I trained with CamYoga in 2013 and subsequently with Sarah Ramsden Sports Yoga and have had the wonderful opportunity to teach in some fabulous studios across Suffolk and Cambridge including The Self Centre in Bury St Edmunds, The Inner Guidance Retreat at Lavenham, The WellBeing Warehouse, Newmarket and Cambridge University Sports Centre.
In 2015 I set up my first studio in the beautiful countryside around Drinkstone offering regular classes, workshops and private sessions and adapting them to Yoga Al Fresco and Pop-Up Yoga during the Covid Pandemic.  Moving to Dalham in 2020 I have created a brand new fully equipped studio and look forward to welcoming you to OLIVE TREE YOGA and sharing all the wonderful benefits that yoga can bring.

My Classes
​​GROUP CLASSES : Open to everyone regardless of your ability and any previous experience. I provide optimum attention to all individuals in a class situation offering modifications and adjustments to help you progress. Drawing from a mixture of Yoga styles including Hatha, Flow, Yin and Restorative all my classes are blended to provide an all round Yoga experience. YOGA BASICS is a great introduction if you wish to start or refresh a Yoga practice. All the fundamental postures (forward bends, backbends, twists, core, and balances) combined with breathing techniques will help you become more flexible, stronger, focused and revitalised. YOGA FUSION incorporates flow sequences focusing on strengthening muscles and build stamina followed by slower more meditative relaxing yin and restorative postures targeting deeper connective tissue like ligaments, joints and bones. YOGA FOR BEGINNERS is a gentle 6 week class that will provide all the basics to set you on your Yoga journey. Upon completion you will be equipped with the knowledge to comfortably participate in the wide variety of Yoga styles that on offer at Olive Tree Yoga and also in studios further afield.

PRIVATE 1:1 A bespoke class which can be timed to fit into your own schedule and will be tailor made to suit your own level and style of yoga according to your requirements and aims. The 60 minute class may be shared with up to 2 friends.

WORKSHOPS: An opportunity over 2.5 hours to have more time than a normal class allows to focus on a particular area and a chance to really develop and enhance your own understanding of specific postures.​

CORPORATE YOGA: The pressures of infinite inbox, mounting deadlines and external demands can take its toll on employees. The incorporation of Yoga into your workplace is a progressive step that is proven to enhance and boost employee wellbeing, energy levels, managing and lowering stress and helping with aches and pains from being desk bound. Post covid, this is a great way to welcome your staff back all within the convenience of your own office.

I’m not flexible - can I do yoga ?
yoga is LITERALLY for “EVERY” body....
Everyone can do yoga - people often and incorrectly think they need to be flexible to begin yoga. Just come as you are and you will soon find that your flexibility improves with yoga. This in turn will increase your overall wellbeing, concentration, co-ordination and physical confidence.

How will I feel after my class ?
Hopefully amazing !! You may feel some achiness in first few weeks as your muscles and joints start being used in a different way to "normal". Tight muscles like hamstrings, hip flexors, shoulder joints and abdominal muscles will gradually start being challenged in a healthy way !


What do I need to begin ?
All you need is your body, an open mind and a bit of curiosity. Wear comfortable clothes and ensure you have eaten something light and drunk sufficient water.

Please remember that yoga is "mind & body" and positive changes in your stress levels, improvement in sleep patterns, better focus and an overall sense of relaxation after a class will help you realise that yoga isn't only skin deep.

​It is VITAL that you let me know if you have any injuries (past or current) or conditions that could effect you ability - modifications and alternatives can always be offered to make postures accessible to everyone NOT just the most strong, flexible and able...

All students are kindly required to complete a health questionnaire prior to their first session
